ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN,
ONE GIANT LEAP FOR LEICESTER!
A spectacular public art event that will blast its way across the city for 10 weeks in summer 2021. It will be the biggest that Leicester has as ever seen! Leicester will be brought to life by an out of this world trail of giant and spectacular Rocket sculptures that will form a stunning, free art trail through the city’s streets and open spaces, bringing together the community for an unforgettable event.
Each sculpture will be sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist – either well-known or just starting out, from the local area or further afield. The trail launches on Monday 19th July – before blasting off on Sunday 26th September 2021.
After this, there will be the chance to say a final ‘goodbye’ at a Farewell Event, before each Rocket is auctioned to raise funds for LOROS Hospice to enable them to continue to care for over 2,500 terminally ill local people. This unique event is brought to you and the city of Leicester by Wild in Art and LOROS Hospice and we want you to take the leap with us and help us reach the stars!
